CNCA Announcement on Further Clarifying the Implementation Requirements for Compulsory Certification of Electrical and Electronic Products Used in Explosive Environments

In order to unify the implementation and enforcement of compulsory product certification (hereinafter referred to as CCC certification), according to the Announcement of the General Administration of Market Supervision on the Implementation Requirements for the Conversion of Explosion-proof Electrical and Other Products from Production Licenses to Compulsory Product Certification Management (Announcement No. 34 of 2019) The requirements for the implementation of CCC certification for electrical and electronic products used in explosive environments are now further clarified as follows:

1. About the scope of certification. For electrical and electronic products used in explosive atmospheres, all those that do not comply with the "Announcement of the General Administration of Market Supervision on Optimizing the Catalogue of Compulsory Product Certification" (Announcement No. 18 of 2020) "Description and Definition Table of the Catalogue of Compulsory Product Certification (2020 The description of "Revision" (hereinafter referred to as the definition table) regarding explosion-proof electrical products, regardless of whether they have the functions and uses of other electrical and electronic products in the definition table, are not within the scope of CCC certification. 

2. Regarding the applicable certification rules. For explosion-proof electrical products that meet the description in the definition table, regardless of whether they have the functions and uses of other electrical and electronic products in the definition table, the product certification rules on which the CCC certification is implemented are "Compulsory Product Certification Implementation Rules Explosion-proof Electricity", not applicable to other Product certification rules.

3. If the relevant designated certification body has issued a CCC certification that does not meet the above requirements, it should be cancelled as soon as possible.
