On December 1, the CNCA issued the implementation rules for compulsory product certification for fire protection products, and the rules will be implemented from the date of issuance.

In accordance with the decision and deployment of the Party Central Committee and the State Council on deepening the reform of fire protection law enforcement and the results of the adjustment of the fire product catalogue in the "Announcement of the State Administration for Market Supervision on Optimizing the Compulsory Product Certification Catalogue" (2020 No. 18), the "Compulsory Product Certification" Implementation Rules for Fire Alarm Products (CNCA-C18-01: 2020), "Compulsory Product Certification Implementation Rules for Fire Extinguishers Products" (CNCA-C18-02: 2020), "Compulsory Product Certification Implementation Rules for Refuge and Escape Products" (CNCA- C18-03: 2020) (see attachment, hereinafter referred to as the new version of the rules), will be implemented from the date of publication. Prior to this, the CNCA "Announcement on Issuing the Implementation Rules for Compulsory Certification of Fire Products" (CNA Announcement No. 15 of 2014) was simultaneously repealed.

The relevant designated certification body shall, in accordance with the requirements of the new version of the rules and the published general implementation rules for compulsory product certification, formulate corresponding certification implementation rules and file them with the CNCA.

Since the date of this announcement, the designated certification body shall implement certification and issue certificates in accordance with the new version of the rules. The valid compulsory product certification certificates that have been issued before can continue to be used, and the conversion of the certification certificates will be completed by natural transition methods such as expired certificates, product changes, and standard version changes.
