Recently, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration issued a notice on the quality supervision and random inspection of special accessories for power appliances in Guangdong Province in 2020. This time, a total of 230 products from 114 companies were randomly inspected, and 40 products from 22 companies were found to be unqualified. It can be seen from the unqualified list that more than half of the unqualified products involve unqualified items such as marks and heat resistance.

According to the "Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China", "Interim Measures for the Administration of Product Quality Supervision and Spot Check", "Guangdong Province Product Quality Supervision Regulations" and other relevant regulations, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration launched the 2020 Guangdong Province Power Appliance Special Accessories Product Quality Supervision Spot Check , Sampling and inspection technical services are undertaken by Shenzhen Institute of Metrology and Quality Inspection, Weikai Inspection Technology Co., Ltd., and Dongguan Quality Supervision and Inspection Center of Guangdong Province. The relevant situation is announced as follows:

According to the "Guangdong Province Electric Appliance Special Accessories Product Quality Supervision and Random Inspection Implementation Rules", this time a total of 230 types of electrical appliances in 5 categories, including plugs, fixed sockets, extension cord sockets, mobile sockets, and socket converters produced by 114 companies Supervision and spot checks were carried out on the quality of accessory products, involving 9 cities in our province, including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shantou, Foshan, Huizhou, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Chaozhou, and Jieyang, and 6 provinces including Beijing, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and Hunan ( Municipalities directly under the Central Government).

This spot check focuses on signs, size inspections, anti-shock protection, grounding measures, insulation resistance and electrical strength, temperature rise, force required to pull out the plug, heat resistance, creepage distance, electrical clearance and distance through sealant, 14 items including the resistance to abnormal heat, flame resistance and tracking resistance of insulating materials, the structure of extension cord sockets, and bending tests were tested. After inspection, 40 products produced by 22 companies were found to be unqualified. The unqualified items mainly include: "mark", "heat resistance", "dimension inspection", "protection against electric shock", "abnormal heat resistance of insulating materials", "flammability and tracking resistance", "creepage distance, electrical clearance and passing sealant" "The distance", "Grounding measures", "Extension cord socket structure", "Bending test", "Temperature rise" and so on. For producers and sellers of unqualified products found in this spot check, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration will instruct the relevant prefectural and municipal market supervision administrations to comply with the provisions of the “Product Quality Law of the People’s Republic of China”, “Interim Measures for the Administration of Product Quality Supervision and Spot Checks,” and The relevant provisions of the State Administration of Market Supervision and the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration on supervision and spot checks shall be followed up.

One is to order producers to stop production and sales of the same overall product under supervision, conduct a comprehensive clean-up of inventory products, make corrections to products that have been sold within a time limit, and proactively publish relevant information;

The second is to notify the same product sellers in the province to stop selling or dispose of the same overall product under supervision according to law;

Third, products that are to be re-marketed after rectification need to be replaced with product packaging or a product conformity commitment mark;

Fourth, the market supervision and management department implements regular follow-up and spot checks on products that are promised to be rectified and qualified;

Fifth, the unqualified products and their producers and sellers shall be recorded in the quality supervision credit file, and the credit classification supervision shall be implemented.

The nominal production units and relevant sellers of the unqualified products involved in the notice shall implement the main responsibility for product quality and safety within 15 days from the date of this notice, organize production in strict accordance with the standards, and take the initiative to take off shelves or other measures to deal with unqualified products in accordance with the law. Products, maintain product quality and safety, protect the legitimate rights and interests of consumers, and report the disposal to the market supervision and management department.
