CQC and VDE certification requirements for lampholders

The lamp base is mainly divided into the most common screw base, miscellaneous base and bayonet base. In this issue, we mainly understand the CQC certification and VDE certification of screw lampholders and miscellaneous lampholders. Screw sockets mainly refer to the sockets installed on indoor, outdoor, residential lighting and industrial lighting equipment, such as E14, E27, E40, etc. Miscellaneous lampholders mainly refer to interior decorative lampholders, which are used for general lighting sources, floodlights, floodlights and street lighting equipped with corresponding lamp bases, such as G4, G9, G20, GU7, GZ10, R7s, etc.

Certification conditions
1. Screw socket: E14, E27 and E40 Edison screw sockets used only when the lamps and semi-lamps are connected to the power supply, switch-type lamp sockets used in AC circuits with an operating voltage not exceeding 250V.

2. Miscellaneous lampholders: various built-in and integral miscellaneous lampholders with power supply voltage not exceeding 1000V.

Unit division
Screw base: divide the application unit according to product type, structure, installation, specifications and materials.
Miscellaneous lampholders: the same standard, the same voltage, the same operating temperature, the same applicable classification of standards, the same insulation materials and current-carrying materials, the same anti-shock protection situation and similar structure.

Test fee assessment requires submission of information
Lampholder type, model specifications, main technical parameters, lampholder product drawings and appearance and photos of key structures.

Sample delivery requirements
If there is only one model in the application unit, send a sample of this model. To apply for certification with the series of products as the same unit, select representative samples for testing. If necessary, cover samples must be sent for supplementary difference testing.

In addition, the old standards for miscellaneous lampholders (DIN EN 60838-1:2011-12; EN60838-1:2014+A1:2008+A2:2011-04) will become invalid on August 4, 2020. The standards (DIN EN 60238:2011-10; EN 60238:2004+A1:2008+A2:2011-04) will become invalid on August 10, 2021. If your VDE certificate is applied before the standard update, and the standard update has not been completed, please update your time.
