In recent years, with the improvement of people's living standards, the demand for small household appliances has been spawned. At present, the domestic small household appliance industry is still in a period of high growth. It is estimated that the market size of my country's small home appliance industry will exceed 460 billion in 2020, showing huge market potential and room for growth. But at the same time, the quality of small appliances is uneven and unqualified, and other problems are gradually emerging. Especially under the random inspections of the quality supervision department, many small household electrical appliances are "dead to death".

Behind the craze, there are frequent visitors on the quality blacklist

Judging from the results of quality supervision and spot checks in recent years, the quality of small home appliances cannot be considered "small", and many big brands have also been on the "black list" of quality. On April 24, 2020, the Beijing Municipal Bureau of Supervision issued the "Publicity of the Results of Spot Checks on the Quality of Small Home Appliances in the Circulation Sector". According to the results, a total of 25 batches of unqualified products were unqualified, and sellers of unqualified products were also dealt with in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Product Quality Law.

In addition to the random inspections of offline small home appliances, it is worth noting that in the complaints of online purchases of small home appliances, the quality problem is as high as 80%. Most of the small home appliances have different production standards, there is no 3C mark, and the leakage protection is not up to standard. Does not meet the requirements of relevant standards.

Some unqualified small household appliances have serious lack of product identification, and many online shopping products lack the necessary safety inspection reports; there are even fake and inferior products.

On the whole, the safety and quality of domestic small household appliances is not optimistic. In particular, Guangdong, as an important production base for small household appliances enterprises, has often become the focus of supervision and inspection of other provincial capital cities in the "quality inspection sword" action.

For unqualified commodities found in random inspections, the administrative department for industry and commerce will order the suspension of sales and punish them in accordance with the law. In addition to publicity, it is also required to take the initiative to take recall, delisting, and delisting. The fate of small household appliances that do not strictly follow national and industry standards can be imagined.

So, here comes the question, what issues should be paid attention to when purchasing small household appliances?

The small home appliance market is expanding rapidly, with a wide range of product categories. Some companies cut corners in the manufacturing process, and there are many violations of the rules. In this context, consumers have to keep their eyes open when choosing small appliances. If you only try to be cheap and do not pay attention to safety, it will bury hidden dangers.

Here, it is recommended that you do not just look at the price when buying small appliances, you need to check whether the product has 3C certification. Check the product qualification certificate, especially whether there is an anti-leakage device, and be sure to obtain a formal invoice when purchasing. Don't buy the "three-no" products for cheap.

The market prosperity of small home appliances has brought us better technology products and a more convenient lifestyle. However, the issue of quality and safety must also be truly resolved. The industry generally believes that the reason for this status quo is the low entry barrier of the small home appliance industry, which gives many manufacturers the opportunity to refill their numbers.

It is foreseeable that the relevant departments are stepping up the development of standards and raising the barriers to entry. In the future, products lacking relevant quality inspection reports and industry qualifications will be eliminated. We must ensure that the products sold by the company meet the requirements of relevant standards in accordance with the "Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China" and other laws and regulations and corresponding national standards. In addition to improving the quality of their own products, companies should also do well in advance of their quality inspection qualifications to avoid dying out under the next "quality inspection sword" operation. Otherwise, product quality is by no means the first alarm!
