Domestic certification requirements for smart switch sockets

With the vigorous development of smart home business, there are more and more categories of smart switches and smart socket products. For example, we can realize remote control of electrical equipment through smart socket products controlled by WIFI. So do smart switch socket products similar to WIFI control need to be CCC certified?

For smart socket products, the applicable standards are GB 2099 series standards, which are products within the scope of the CCC certification catalog. The electronic control part of the product needs to be randomly assessed according to its applicable standards (such as GB 15092.1, GB16915.1), so whether it is smart Wall sockets, smart converters, and extension cord sockets are all products within the scope of the CCC catalog. They must meet the requirements of their respective applicable standards and obtain the CCC certificate before they can be sold out of the factory (combined with the relevant regulations of the CNCA Announcement No. 3 in 2016 ).

As for smart switch products, it belongs to the category of electronic switches. Electronic switches also include common sound and light control switches, human body induction switches, touch switches, etc. The applicable standard for such products is GB 16915.2, which is currently not in the CCC certification catalog. Within the scope of applicable standards, this type of product cannot be CCC certified. For this type of product companies can apply for CQC mark certification, the product certification category is 003011.
 

Note: The WIFI function of the product needs to apply for a model approval certificate (SRRC) from the Radio Management Committee.

The certification scheme for converters or extension cord socket products with USB charging ports For converters with USB charging ports or "small five-hole" type plug-in products, if the USB charging port part has obtained the CCC certificate, according to 2016 According to the National Certification and Accreditation Administration Announcement No. 3, both the national standard type converter and the "small five-hole" type patch panel products are included in the CCC certification catalog. In order to improve the certification of the socket part of such products, it is recommended that relevant companies follow the previous USB The product category (0807 or 0907) for which the charging interface is certified applies for a CCC change application to add the test content of the converter or the power strip. After the test is passed, the multi-functional product certification certificate for the product with the USB charging interface socket will be issued.

Finally, the majority of manufacturers are reminded again that the size of the universal hole products does not meet the requirements of the GB 2099 series of standards, so such products cannot pass the test to obtain the CCC certificate.
