No "CCC" certification, imported gas stoves under investigation

Tianjin Northnet News: A few days ago, Xingang Customs, affiliated to Tianjin Customs, seized a batch of imported gas stoves that were not certified by "CCC", a total of 26 units. According to the relevant requirements of my country's compulsory product certification, this batch of gas stoves cannot be sold or used in the country because they failed to provide relevant certification documents. They have now been handed over to subsequent departments for disposal.

According to reports, a company in Beijing declared to import a batch of gas stoves. During the on-site inspection, customs officers found that 26 of the gas stoves did not have the "CCC" mark and could not issue the "CCC" certification. According to my country’s relevant regulations, since October 1, 2019, household gas appliances will be included in the scope of "CCC" certification management. From October 1, 2020, no compulsory product certification certificate and no compulsory certification mark shall be obtained. Factory, sale, import or use in other business activities; at the same time, the producer or importer shall print and use the energy efficiency label in accordance with the energy efficiency label style, specifications and labeling regulations uniformly stipulated by the state. When inspecting imported gas stoves, the customs will deal with equipment that does not meet the requirements of my country's laws and regulations and the mandatory standards of national technical specifications without "CCC" certification, nameplate information, energy efficiency labels, Chinese warning labels, and instructions for use.

The customs staff reminded that when citizens choose to import gas stoves, they must first check whether the outer packaging of the product and the accompanying documents comply with national standards, such as the national standard code GB16410, "CCC" certification mark, whether the product nameplate information is comprehensive, etc.; second, check Whether the product has an energy efficiency label.
