According to the "Product Quality Law of the People's Republic of China", "Guangdong Province Product Quality Supervision Regulations" and other relevant regulations, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration has carried out random inspections of wire and cable product quality supervision. The relevant information is hereby notified as follows:

This time, a total of 400 wire and cable product quality inspections were carried out by 178 companies, involving Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhuhai, Shantou, Foshan, Shaoguan, Meizhou, Huizhou, Dongguan, Zhongshan, Jiangmen, Zhanjiang, Zhaoqing, Qingyuan in our province. , Chaozhou, Jieyang, Yunfu and other 17 cities and 5 provinces (municipalities) including Tianjin, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Jiangsu and Anhui. After inspection, 42 products produced by 32 companies were found to be unqualified. 1.Conductor resistance: 31 product conductor resistance items were determined to be unqualified in this spot check. The project mainly assesses whether the conductor materials and cross-sectional area of wires and cables meet the requirements, and it is one of the important performance indicators to measure the electrical transmission performance of wires. The unqualified project will increase the line loss, shorten the service life of the wire, and also have personal safety and fire hazards.

2.Marking: 18 product marking items were determined to be unqualified in this spot check. This project mainly assesses whether the content of the product logo, the spacing of the logo, the clarity of the logo, and the scratch resistance meet the standard requirements. The unqualified item will affect consumers' normal purchase of products, cause confusion and misuse to users, and cause safety hazards, which will damage the legitimate rights and interests of consumers.

3.Tensile strength of the sheath before aging: This spot check determines that the tensile strength of the sheath before aging of 3 products is unqualified. The project mainly assesses the strength of the sheath to withstand mechanical stress during construction and operation and its aging resistance at higher temperatures during normal operation. The unqualified project is likely to cause damage and breakage of the wire and cable sheath after being stressed during construction or operation, and potential safety hazards may occur.

4.Tensile strength of the sheath after aging: This spot check determines that the tensile strength of the sheath of 3 products is unqualified. The project mainly assesses the strength of the sheath to withstand mechanical stress during construction and operation and its aging resistance at higher temperatures during normal operation. The unqualified project will easily cause damage and breakage of the sheath of the wire and cable during operation, which may cause potential safety hazards.

9.Sheath weight loss: This spot check determined that the weight loss items of 3 products were unqualified. The project mainly assesses the aging resistance of the sheath at higher temperatures during normal operation. The failure of this project will accelerate the aging of the sheath material, thereby affecting the safe service life of the product.

10.Insulation weight loss: 8 products were judged to be unqualified for the insulation weight loss items in this spot check. This project mainly assesses the aging resistance of insulation at higher temperatures during normal operation. The failure of this project will accelerate the aging of insulating materials, thereby affecting the safety and service life of the product.

11.Tensile strength of insulation before aging: This spot check determines that the item of tensile strength before insulation aging of 1 product is unqualified. The project mainly assesses the strength of the insulation to withstand mechanical stress during construction and operation and the aging resistance at higher temperatures during normal operation. The unqualified project may easily cause damage or breakage of the insulation of wires and cables during construction or operation, which may cause safety hazards.

The failure of this project will reduce the insulation strength of the wire and cable products, reduce the insulation resistance, and increase the leakage current, thereby affecting the safe use of the product. Unqualified thickness at the thinnest part of the insulation may cause insulation breakdown under long-term operation of the line, causing safety accidents and even fires.

17.Average insulation thickness: This random inspection determined that the average insulation thickness of one product was unqualified. This project mainly assesses whether the average insulation thickness is greater than or equal to the requirements of the specified value. The failure of this project will reduce the insulation strength of the wire and cable products, reduce the insulation resistance, and increase the leakage current, thereby affecting the safe use of the product.

18.Dimensions: 3 product dimensions were determined to be unqualified in this spot check. This project mainly assesses whether the outer diameter of the product meets the requirements of the standard. The unqualified item will affect the normal use of the product by consumers.

19.Insulation thermal extension test-elongation under load: This spot check determines that 1 product insulation thermal extension test-elongation under load item is unqualified. This project assesses the degree of cross-linking of products, mainly assessing the mechanical properties of insulating materials at high temperatures. The failure of this project will reduce the mechanical performance of the insulation under normal operating conditions and affect safe use.

20.Insulation heat shrinkage: In this spot check, the insulation heat shrinkage items of 3 products were found to be unqualified. The project mainly assesses the mechanical properties of insulating materials at high temperatures. If this item is unqualified, it is easy to cause insulation shrinkage and conductor exposure, which will affect the safety performance.

For producers and sellers of unqualified products found in this spot check, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration will instruct the relevant prefectural and municipal market supervision administrations to comply with the provisions of the “Product Quality Law of the People’s Republic of China”, “Interim Measures for the Administration of Product Quality Supervision and Spot Checks” and other provisions and The relevant regulations of the State Administration of Market Supervision and the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration on supervision and spot checks shall be followed up. One is to order producers to stop production and sales of the same overall product under supervision, to conduct a comprehensive clean-up of products in inventory, to make corrections to products that have been sold within a time limit, and to proactively announce relevant information; the second is to notify sellers to stop selling products of the same model; third, after rectification For products that are to be re-marketed, the product packaging must be replaced or a product conformity promise mark must be made; fourth, the market supervision department implements regular follow-up and spot checks on the products that are promised to be rectified and qualified; fifth is the supervision and spot check of unqualified products and their producers and sellers Record it in the quality supervision credit file and implement credit classification supervision.
