U.S. ETL certification introduction

ETL is the most dynamic safety certification mark in North America.  Its history can be traced back to the electrical testing laboratory founded by Thomas Edison in 1896. It has a wide range of visibility and recognition in North America. Lke UL and CSA, ETL can test and issue ETL certification marks in accordance with UL standards or American national standards, and can also issue composite certification marks in accordance with UL standards or American national standards and CSA standards or Canadian standards at the same time. The "us" in the lower right indicates that it is applicable to the United States, the "c" in the lower left indicates that it is applicable to Canada, and both "us" and "c" are applicable to both countries.

The ETL mark is the world's leading quality and safety ETL mark is the exclusive mark of the world's leading quality and safety organization Intertek Tianxiang Group. Products that have obtained the ETL mark represent that they meet the mandatory standards of North America and can enter the North American market smoothly. As long as any electrical, mechanical or electromechanical product carries the ETL mark, it indicates that the product has reached the minimum requirements of the generally recognized product safety standards of the United States and Canada, and it has been tested to meet the relevant product safety standards.

ETL also requires that its production site has been inspected, and the applicant agrees to conduct regular follow-up inspections to its factory thereafter to ensure that the product always meets this requirement.

ETL certification application process:
1. Fill in the application form
2. Provide samples
3. Product testing
4. Arrange to inspect the factory after the test is completed
5. Certificates will be issued after approval of the factory;
6. Four factory inspections a year (once every quarter)
