NSF Class H1: H1 certified lubricants are formulated with base oils and FDA 178.3570 compliant ingredients for "incidental contact" between lubricants and food or beverages. Such compounds may be used as protective rust preventive films, gaskets or seal tank separators in food processing equipment, or as lubricants for mechanical fittings and equipment in areas that may come into contact with food. Depending on the risk of exposure, equipment such as oven lines, conveyors and mixers may requre the use of H1 certified lubricants.

2. Matters needing attention:
1. Generally, there is no need to provide samples, only documents are required.
2. You can apply for a single product. It can also be applied by series of products. The number of products in a series cannot exceed 10. The same ingredients and different ratios belong to different products.
3. The product name will not be reflected on the certificate. If you apply for a single product, it is a certificate and a registration letter. For example, if you apply for a series, each model product has a registration letter.
4. The formulation will not be evaluated until NSF has received the certification fee. If the evaluation fails, adjustments need to be made and the evaluation resubmitted. Re-evaluation will incur a re-evaluation fee.
