1. Case issues
The person in charge of the quality of a complete home appliance company heard feedback from the supplier that the thermal fuse-link has applied for CCC certification, and the thermal fuse-link bulk product body does not have the CCC mark, so is it acceptable for the complete machine company?

2. Case analysis

According to the "Announcement of the State Administration for Market Regulation on Optimizing the Catalogue of Compulsory Product Certification" (No. 18 of 2020), thermal fuses are products in the CCC catalogue that apply the self-declaration evaluation method. The products in the CCC catalogue must be marked with the certification mark before they can leave the factory, be sold, imported or used in other business activities.

The supplier said that "the CCC certification has been applied", it may be that the self-declaration process of mandatory product certification has not been completed, and the thermal fuse product cannot apply the CCC certification mark if the self-declaration has not been completed. Violating the "Administrative Regulations on Compulsory Product Certification". If the whole machine enterprise accepts the batch of thermal fuse parts, it will encounter unnecessary troubles during the whole machine type test and the consistency check of the factory inspection.

Do self-declared thermal fuse-links have to mark the CCC mark on the product body? Thermal fuse products are generally small in size, and it is very difficult to mark the CCC mark on the body. According to the "Announcement of CNCA on the Reform of Compulsory Product Certification Marks" (No. 10 of 2018), Annex 1 "Requirements for the Administration of the Application of Compulsory Product Certification Marks", "On the ontology of the relevant certified products. If the CCC mark cannot be applied, the CCC mark must be applied on the minimum packaging of the product and in the accompanying documents.” Therefore, when purchasing thermal fuse-link parts, if there is no CCC mark on the part body, the whole machine enterprise should pay attention to whether the CCC mark is applied in the minimum package and accompanying documents.

To sum up, if there is no CCC mark on the bulk body of the supplier's thermal fuse, the "minimum package and accompanying documents" should have the CCC mark.

3. Simplify and integrate the categories of CCC marks
Since March 20, 2018, the CCC mark will no longer be marked with sub-categories such as S (safety products), EMC (electromagnetic compatibility), S&E (safety and electromagnetic compatibility), F (fire protection), and I (information security). With the CCC logo, it can be eliminated naturally according to the mold replacement cycle and product inventory.

3. Specifications of the certification mark

CCC mark is divided into standard specification CCC mark and non-standard specification CCC mark. The ratio of the outer diameter of the long and short axes of the CCC logo ellipse is 8:6.3, and the specific graphic ratio is shown in Figure 1.

5. The application position of the CCC mark
The uniformly printed CCC mark of standard specifications must be placed in a conspicuous position on the outer body of the certified product. If the CCC logo is printed/molded, the CCC logo shall be printed and molded on a conspicuous position on the nameplate or the outer body of the product. If the CCC mark cannot be applied to the body of the relevant certified product, the CCC mark must be applied to the minimum package of the product and the accompanying documents.
