"CCC" certification means "China Compulsory Certification", and the English name is "China Compulsory Certification". According to the State Administration for Market Supervision and Administration Announcement No. 18, 2020, "Announcement on the Catalogue of Compulsory Product Certification", there are currently 17 categories including wires and cables, circuit switches and protective or connection electrical devices, low-voltage electrical appliances, low-power motors, and lighting appliances. 103 A variety of products are included in the scope of national CCC compulsory certification, and the quality of these products is closely related to the personal safety of consumers.

The list of mandatory 3c certification in 2021 is as follows:

3C certification process
Certification application type test initial factory inspection certification result evaluation and approval after certification. The frequency of post-certification supervision (annual review): generally once a year, and the toy category is once every six months.

The 3C certification cycle is generally about 2 months.
The General Administration of Market Supervision organizes spot checks on the validity of CCC certification, involving electric rice cookers, electric hot pots, electric fans, induction cookers and other household appliances. For unqualified products, certification bodies are required to suspend or revoke their CCC certificates in a timely manner. At the same time, strengthen the supervision of CCC certification practitioners, focusing on the implementation of special inspections on CCC certification designated certification agencies and laboratories in the field of home appliances such as indoor heaters.

In terms of guiding local certification supervision, the State Administration of Market Supervision has issued relevant notices requesting local market supervision departments to strengthen supervision of the certification market and crack down on illegal certification activities. At the same time, the "Certification Supervision Training Textbook" was compiled and issued to the grassroots market supervision department to promote the improvement of the grassroots certification supervision ability.

The General Administration of Market Supervision stated that it will strengthen the supervision of compulsory product certification for household appliances, and further urge CCC certification implementation agencies to strictly control the quality of certification, and resolutely not issue certification for products that do not meet the certification requirements. In addition, intensify supervision during and after the event, regularly conduct special inspections on CCC certification implementing agencies, continue to organize spot checks on the effectiveness of CCC certified product certification, and guide local market supervision departments to crack down on unlicensed products.
