[Standard Version] Notice on the implementation of the new version of the certification rules and standards for the compulsory product certification of household gas appliances

All relevant certification companies:
GB16410-2020 "Household Gas Stoves" (Implementation Date: January 1, 2022), GB25034-2020 "Gas Heating Water Heaters" (Implementation Date: November 1, 2021) Standards (hereinafter referred to as "New Standards") Has been released, the new version of the standard will replace the GB16410-2007 and GB25034-2010 standards (hereinafter referred to as the "old version of the standard") from the date of implementation.
In order to ensure the effective implementation of the compulsory product certification system, the China Quality Certification Center (English abbreviation CQC) formulated CQC-C2401-2021 "Compulsory Gas Appliances" in accordance with CNCA-C24-01:2021 "Compulsory Certification Product Certification Implementation Rules for Household Gas Appliances" Product Certification Implementation Rules for Household Gas Appliances, replacing CQC-C2401-2019. The relevant requirements for the implementation of the new version of the rules and the new version of the standard are now clarified as follows:
1. Scope of certification products involved:

2. The new version of the rules and standard implementation plan:
(1) Household gas stove
1. From the date of notification to December 31, 2021, the certification client can voluntarily choose to apply for certification in accordance with the new version of the standard or the old version of the standard; from January 1, 2022, our center will adopt the new version of the standard to implement the certification and issue a new version Standard certification certificate.
2. For products that have obtained compulsory certification certificates in accordance with the old version of the standard, the holder of the old version of the standard certification certificate shall submit an application for conversion to the new version of the standard certification certificate to CQC after the implementation of the new standard and before the completion of the next annual supervision and inspection, and accept The laboratory implements tests for the difference test items between the new and the old standards (see appendix), completes the product confirmation work according to the new version of the standard, and reissues the new version of the standard certification certificate. The conversion of the old version of the standard certification certificate should be completed before January 1, 2023. CQC will suspend the certification certificate that fails to complete the conversion after the expiry date; if the certificate conversion is not completed before April 1, 2023, the old version of the standard certification certificate will be revoked.
3. For certified products that have been delivered, put on the market and are no longer produced before January 1, 2022, no certificate conversion is required.
(2) Gas heating water heater
1. From the date of notification to October 31, 2021, the certification client can voluntarily choose to apply for certification in accordance with the new version of the standard or the old version of the standard; from November 1, 2021, our center will adopt the new version of the standard to implement the certification and issue a new version Standard certification certificate.
2. For products that have obtained the compulsory certification certificate according to the old version of the standard, the holder of the old version of the standard certification certificate shall submit the application for the conversion of the new version of the standard certification to CQC after the implementation of the new version of the standard and before the completion of the next annual supervision and inspection, and accept The laboratory implements the tests for the difference test items between the new and old standards (see attachment), completes the product confirmation work according to the new version of the standard, and reissues the new version of the standard certification certificate. Since the date of notification, our center will adopt the new version of the rules to implement certification for household gas instantaneous water heaters. The valid compulsory product certification certificates for household gas instantaneous water heaters that have been issued can continue to be used. The conversion of certification certificates will adopt expired renewals, product changes, etc. Completed in a natural transition way.
3. Reporting requirements for testing capabilities
All relevant cooperative laboratories shall report to the Certification and Supervision Department of CNCA and our center as soon as possible about their ability to test the new version of the standard, and shall promptly report the qualification and accreditation of the new version of the standard laboratory for the record.
Since the date of this notice, CQC Product Certification Department 2 has begun to accept certification applications for the new version of the standard.
