Mechanical equipment | On site commissioned testing and CE certification requirements

In today's society, the development of various engineering fields requires mechanical engineering to adapt to them and provide the necessary mechanical equipment. Machinery is one of the five major production factors (human, capital, energy, materials, and machinery) for production and service in modern society. Mechanical equipment can transfer energy and force from one place to another, and it can change the shape and structure of objects to create new ones. In our lives, there are countless different types of mechanical equipment working for us around us. Due to the diversity and complexity of mechanical equipment, we need to consider various requirements such as structural safety, electrical safety, and risk assessment during the initial design and operation stages. China is a major manufacturer of mechanical equipment, and currently more and more mechanical equipment is being exported to various parts of the world to meet the manufacturing and engineering needs of other countries. Today, let's introduce what aspects we, as a third-party organization, will evaluate for mechanical equipment.

1、 According to the national standard GB/T 5226.1 (Mechanical and Electrical Equipment Part 1: General Standards), common mechanical equipment can be roughly divided into the following categories:
-Metal processing machinery, food machinery
-Plastic and rubber machinery printing, paper and cardboard machinery
-Woodworking machinery inspection/testing equipment
-Assemble mechanical compressor
-Material handling machinery, packaging machinery
-Textile Machinery Washing and Ironing Machinery
-Amusement park facilities, molten metal hot processing machinery

-Mining and quarrying machinery, agricultural and forestry machinery

2、 We will evaluate the following standard terms and requirements:
-Introduce power cord termination method and disconnect switch
-Electric shock protection
-Protection of electrical equipment
-Equipotential bonding
-Control circuit and control function
-Operation board and control devices installed on machinery
-Control equipment: location, installation, and electrical cabinet
-Wires and cables
-Electric motors and related equipment
-Socket and lighting
-Marking, warning language

The on-site verification experiments include: resistance testing, withstand voltage testing, residual voltage protection, functional testing, repeated experiments

3、 Mechanical products exported to Europe require CE certification, based on the MD directive and testing standards of EN 60204-1 (Electrical Safety Requirements for Mechanical Equipment) and EN 12100 (Risk Assessment and Risk Reduction). During the certification process, we require the manufacturing enterprise to provide the following documents and materials:
-Mechanical Equipment Manual
-When there are multiple models, a difference explanation is required
-Equipment specification parameter table
-Appearance dimension diagram
-Machine operation position spatial map
-Main component description diagram
-Equipment nameplate
-Location diagram of safety devices (such as emergency stop switches, lightning signs, etc.)
-Circuit diagram
-Safety Parts List
(Such as circuit breakers, relays, transformers, contactors, fuses, emergency stop switches, etc., the code should be consistent with the circuit diagram)
-Safety component certification certificate
-  
On site verification experiments are also necessary.

4、 The technical documentation for mechanical equipment includes the following files:
-Test report
(including EHSR, EN12100, EN60204-1)
-Safety parts list and certificate
-Circuit diagram
-Mechanical Equipment Manual
-EC Declaration of Conformity
